Google and GooglePlex - Googol and Googolplex

The name "Google" (BackRub was renamed as Google in 1997) originated from a misspelling of the word "googol". Googol is a number that is equal to 1 followed by 100 zeros (1.0 × 10^100). It was defined in 1929 by American mathematician Edward Kasner and named by his nine-year-old nephew, Milton Sirotta.
After naming googol, Milton also coined the term "googolplex," describing it as “one, followed by writing zeros until you get tired.” However, his uncle was not satisfied with this vague definition. Later, Kasner cleverly redefined the googolplex as equal to one followed by a googol zeros (10^googol).
Interestingly, Google's corporate headquarters is called the GooglePlex. "Googleplex" is a portmanteau of Google and complex and a reference to googolplex.
